Dr. Robert Simpson, B.Sc., D.C.

I grew up in Dauphin, MB and was very active in hockey, basketball and football throughout my school years. As well, my Dad owned a farm near Moosomin so weekends and summer holidays were spent helping out on the land! With all of this activity came some natural wear and tear on my body, and I started suffering with some neck pain and headaches.

One day I mentioned them to our new neighbour who was the new chiropractor in town. He took me over to the picnic table and adjusted my neck on the spot! I had instant relief - it felt like the pain and stiffness was melting right out of my body! It was a powerful moment. I continued to see him on a regular basis and had such amazing benefits that, with his encouragement, I decided to become a chiropractor.

I did my Bachelor of Science at Brandon University, majoring in Zoology and Psychology, and then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, graduating in 1987. I moved to Saskatoon soon after graduation and worked as an associate in a successful downtown practice.

In 1992, I began practicing at Circle Chiropractic and I also have a satellite practice in Davidson, SK. I feel passionately that chiropractic care benefits the whole body by stimulating nerve supply to every cell, organ and tissue in the body, creating health and wellness for an optimum life. I'm so blessed to be treating, in many cases, 3 generations of families in my care! Together with my wife, children and grand-daughter, we live a full and abundant life and are proud to call Saskatchewan our home.

Dr. Jason Sand, D.C.

I decided to become a chiropractor when I was quite young - about grade eight. My Aunt was involved in a serious rollover causing multiple injuries including a hip fracture. While spending my summers with her and my cousins at their cabin I observed her before and after chiropractic care. The change in her amazed me. She was able to move freely without pain and was happier.

I knew then that I wanted to be able to make that kind of difference in people's lives too. My first experience with a chiropractor was equally amazing. I had been injured in a wrestling incident causing a severe neck injury. I was taken to my medical doctor by my parents and prescribed the usual pain relievers, muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory medications. That solution maybe masked my pain but did not solve it.

Finally, after several months of pain I saw a chiropractor in Regina, Dr. Brad Waddell. I was virtually pain-free after a few treatments. Now, I am able to provide that kind of amazing effect with my patients in my own practice. And not just for pain. The true benefit of seeing a chiropractor is for your overall health by maintaining a properly functioning nervous system by treatment of your spinal column and making healthy choices in all aspects of your life.

I grew up in Regina with my parents, older brother and older sister. After graduating from high school, I entered the University of Regina in a pre-professional program to meet the requirements needed to apply to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). I graduated from CMCC in 1993. I moved to Saskatoon the same year. I have a beautiful wife and twin girls.

Dr. Lisa Hammond, B.Sc., D.C.

I grew up playing a variety of sports and life on a farm in rural Saskatchewan meant lots of physical work. My mom really emphasized health growing up. This meant whole, nutritious food, lots of activity, and chiropractic care when things didn't feel right.

I was always amazed at the healing abilities of the chiropractors I saw and became inspired by them in my own life. It was a lifestyle I resonated with and I was a keen student, so it was a perfect path for me to venture down.

I pursued a degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Saskatchewan. I then studied at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, graduating summa cum laude in 2005. Since then, I have been practicing at Circle Chiropractic as well as in the towns of Hanley and Elrose, SK. I married a farmer, and am now living the farm life again with our two young boys.

Chiropractic has taught me so much about the magnificence of the human body and how we really need to just get back to the basics with our health. I wake up every day inspired to serve and help others.

Dr. Bryan Kolisnyk, B.Sc., D.C.

Since I can remember, I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to help people. At first, that meant being a medical doctor. That was the kind of doctor I was most familiar with.

As time went on, I began to realize that my interest was really in helping people transform their health. Waiting for people to become sick or covering up symptoms while the person remained unhealthy was not appealing to me. Helping sick or dying people is noble but I am more interested in what health is.

I came to understand that Chiropractic is a better fit for me to help make those changes. Chiropractic transformed my life. It might be a road less traveled, but my experience tells me that is where change is most likely to happen.

Dr. Kelly Foster, B.Ed., B.Sc., D.C.

I was introduced to chiropractic care by my parents who took me to Dr. Murray in Lloydminster for treatment of assorted rodeo, hockey and football injuries.

After high school I went to college and earned an education degree and started my career. I was teaching when two of my more troubled students, who were a "social" pass, (they had very poor grades, low attention spans, high distractibility and were heavily medicated), made some nearly miraculous improvements.

The parents were ecstatic and upon questioning they said the difference must have been the chiropractic care they were receiving from Dr. Neilson, in Stettler, AB. I was intrigued and when I phoned the doctor to get more information, he took my call and spoke to me about this issue for 30 minutes, which really impressed me!

He said that children with ADHD are often born in pain and movement distracts their minds. They cannot tell you where it hurts because they have experienced it for so long it feels normal. "You find it, you fix it, and they relax," he said. I felt that his work had done more for these children (and their parents) than I and all the special education teachers in the system had been able to accomplish.

I decided to change my profession. Six years later, after writing the chiropractic national board exams in Calgary, I took a side trip to Stettler to thank Dr. Neilson for taking the time to speak with me, a total stranger, those years ago. Not only had he changed his patients' lives, but he had changed mine as well.

Dr. Cameron Olsen, B.Sc., D.C.

I grew up in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and I am the middle boy of two sisters. As a kid, I had a love of the outdoors and spent lots of time hunting and fishing. I was also super active in sports, especially hockey and football. My father had recurrent back and hip pain and he always found that a trip to the chiropractor helped him immensely.

When I started experiencing low back pain at the age of 12, my folks made sure to get me into chiropractic care right away. In fact, my whole family went for chiropractic care for various reasons as we always found it so helpful.

It was my family's successful experiences with chiropractic care that led me to following it as a career. I attended Northwestern Health Services University graduating with my D.C. in 1996 and started practicing at Circle Chiropractic that same year.

I'm still active in hockey, playing in a men's league in Saskatoon, and also an avid fisher, hunter and really anything to do with the outdoors. Now my own wife and two children also enjoy the benefits of chiropractic care.
