I grew up on a mixed ranch in western Saskatchewan. I attended the University of Saskatchewan primarily to compete in athletics, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology followed by a Bachelor of Education.
After graduating, I began teaching middle school. During that time, I noticed two brothers—students who had previously struggled both academically and socially—begin making remarkable improvements in their grades, behaviour, and overall engagement. Curious about the change, I spoke with their parents, who credited much of their progress to chiropractic care they had received in Stettler, Alberta.
Wanting to learn more, I contacted their chiropractor and spent considerable time discussing his assessment, treatment approach, and the outcomes he was seeing. I was so impressed by what I learned and the impact chiropractic care had made on these students’ lives that I decided to change careers and pursue chiropractic myself.
Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
